Stefan Louw, South Africa's top Spinto Tenor ( Dramatic  Lyrical), who  participates in our concerts when his busy schedule allows. He is  already booked as far as 2012 and we are indeed fortunate to have this alumnus of our academy take part in our concerts. He was recently heard as Pollione in Norma at the Vicky Opera in France and in December 2008 as Radamas in Aida at the Dijon Opera in France.

Text Box: Estelle Kruger, Top Soprano in Europe (Koblentz Opera) will be visiting South Africa to sing the Countess in “Le Nozze di Figaro” by Mozart in the State Theatre in Pretoria in July 2011. She is another very successful product of this Academy, and has completed La Traviata in Europe and Micaela in Carmen. Amongst others Estelle has to her credit in Europe La Traviata (Violetta) and La Boheme (Musetta) Text Box: GLORIA BOSMAN is currently one of the singers most in demand in South Africa for her Varied Programmes and also as MC for various productions as well as on TV! Well done Gloria!

Students studying singing as their main instrument at the above-mentioned institutions, all passed their final exams:

Twelve (12) achieving distinctions, as well as four (4) distinctions in the UNISA Theoretical exams! 

 

TSHEPO NYATLO achieved the highest marks for theory in  category

 

Lorraine received a special award from UNISA for coaching the top ten students from UNISA!

 

TSHEPO MATLALA , a rich baritone, was snatched up by OPERA AFRICA as a soloist! Congratulations TSHEPO!

 

 
Text Box: BREAKING NEWS!! ZITA PRETORIUS, ‘n student by die Akademie, is die nuwe Liefling saam met Rudi Claase. Sy het verelede jaar matrikuleer met 7 onderskeidings en het aan n sangkompetisie in die VSA deelgeneem waar Celine Dion ‘n beoordeelaar was. Na die kompetisie is sy 2 plate kontrakte aangebied wat sy van die hand gewys het om hier in Afrikaans te kan sing.

DENISE BEZUIDENHOUT—Highest UNISA academic achievement for 2010, and has won the NELLIE DU TOIT AWARD as well as the  HENNIE JOUBERT AWARD. Congatulations!
