Lorraine Du Toit Vocal Academy

The Lorraine Du Toit Vocal Academy is the brainchild and passion of Lorraine Du Toit-Havemann, a soprano who made her mark internationally and then chose to help others through the route of teaching.  She believes in technical excellence as a result of hard work. She also insists that the student be  exposed to a live audience and for this reason presents a number of concerts annually for this very purpose.  These concerts have become very popular throughout Gauteng and the Gala Concert is an event of note. Hers is the only institution presenting such concerts

 

Students are required to audition for a place in the Academy as all classes are on a one to one basis.

 

The success achieved is truly phenomenal as illustrated by the list of students who have gone on to professional careers elsewhere in the world. Some of these students are:
